The difference between conventional light guides and
-Blue-Line®-Fiber
Light Guides is:
| Conventional Fiber Light Guide: | The Fibers on the light input are glued |
| The Fibers on the light input are smelted and comprimated |
The different colour of the hand piece at the light input:
| Conventional Fiber Light Guide: |
Black Hand piece
|
|
Blue Hand piece
|
RFQ- Fiber Light Guides have all the etched Logo "CE" - "RFQ" - Serial Number and the date of fabrication.
Technical Information about HTT-Blue-Line®-Fiber Light Guides
The RfQ HTT-Blue-Line®-Fiber Light Guide have the following advantage:
|
Appr. 20% higher transmission
|
|
Temperatur resistant Light Input
|
The reason is:
A conventionel Fiber Light Guide with an optical diameter of 3.5mm has appr.
4000 Fibers with a diameter of each one of 50 µm.
Surface light input: 1,75 mm x 1,75 mm x 3,14 = 9,62 mm
Surface Fibers: 0,025 mm x 0,025 mm x 3,14 x 4000 = 7,85 mm
The light input of conventionel Fiber Light Guides is only filled with appr. 80% Fibers (7,85: 9,62 = 0,82), the space in it is filled with organic glue. The Fibers of the HTT-Blue-Line®-Fiber Light Guides are at the light input smelted and comprimated the fiber bundle is hexagonal, and the sicees will disappear the part of the glass is 100 %, and the transmission is 20% higher. For there is no organic glue these new cables cannot burn by extreme heat, specially in Xenon light sources.
The Fibers in a glued conventionel Fiber Light Guide:
The black parts are spaces, filled with organic glue
The Fibers in a
-Blue-Line®-Fiber
Light Guide:

No spaces, the Fibers are hexagonal
